Reissues DoD Directive (DoDD) 8000.01 (Reference (a)) to establish policy and assign responsibilities for DoD information resources management (IRM) activities to the Chief Information Officer of the Department of Defense (DoD CIO). b. Implements sections 2222, 2223, and 2224 of Title 10, United States Code (U.S.C.) (Reference (b)), chapter 113 of Title 40, U.S.C. (Reference (c)), chapters 35 and 36 of Title 44, U.S.C. (Reference (d)), and Office of Management and Budget Circular A-130 (Reference (e)) by establishing policy for the management of the DoD IE."
