From the report task: “In support of the Department’s ongoing transformation efforts, and at the request of the Deputy Secretary of Defense, the Defense Business Board (DBB) formed this Task Group to assess and make recommendations to the Department of Defense (DOD) for a governance structure and key best practices to ensure that DOD’s business entities align with the Department’s strategic priorities. The objective of this work was to make actionable recommendations regarding best business practices for a governance structure to support better decision-making processes at both the strategic enterprise level and individual business enterprise level.”
