A wide range of talent is required to perform our peacetime and wartime mission in support of DOD's global military operations at home and abroad. The roles and responsibilities of our civilian workforce must be postured and positioned to support the current and emerging challenges that impact the security of our Nation. No other Federal agency has as many different occupations working side by side, nor operates under as many different personnel systems.”
