From the report: “In August of 2011, President Barack Obama issued an Executive Order directing a government-wide initiative to promote diversity and inclusion (D&I) in the federal workforce (White House, 2011). One part of that Executive Order charged each federal department and agency to develop a strategic plan for promoting a diverse and inclusive workforce. In response, the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) published its D&I strategic plan, which established the following three goals:”
