Paul H. Richanbach, Ph.D.
Paul Richanbach is a Research Staff Member at the Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA). He has conducted numerous organization and management reviews, focusing especially on planning and resource decision-making, for numerous parts of the defense and national security community, including: INDOPACOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, the Joint Staff, the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), the Commandant of the Marine Corps, the Department of Energy nuclear weapons program, and “Defense Institution Building” (DIB) for U.S. partner countries. From 1999- 2000 Dr. Richanbach served as the Principal Deputy Director in the Office of Program Analysis and Evaluation (PA&E). From 1998- 1999 he served as a Senior Adviser to the Secretary of Energy. Dr. Richanbach received his Ph.D. in Economics from Yale University in 1985. He is a graduate of Occidental College (B.A.) and the London School of Economics (M.Sc.)
